MONTSERRAT 56 Km northwest (35 miles) of Barcelona there is the mountain and Benedictine monastery of Montserrat, founded in the 11th century. It is located in a natural park, beautiful landscape. The Virgin of Montserrat, La Moreneta (the Black Virgin) the patron saint of Catalonia, is worshipped at the shrine in the monastery.
THE WINE COUNTRY Just south-west of Barcelona you will fine prime wine terrain where the majority of Catalan wines and Cava are produced. You will visit different areas of scenic, cultural and natural interest. Many of the wineries open every day to the public, so in there you can discover the many and varied sensations of the world of wine. MONASTERIES ROUTE The counties of Tarragona have magnificent monastery complexes: Santa Maria de Poblet and Santes Creus .Were all founded in the 12th century.

MUSEUM DALI - FIGUERES The painter Salvador Dali created his artistic universe in Cap de Creus. Dali is the ideal focus for one of the many possible visits to the Costa Brava. You can travel from the Teatre-Museum Dali in Figueres, to the painter's house in Port Lligat, and Cadaques, beautiful village in the coast on the north-east of Spain.
